Expense/Object Codes

Expense/Object codes classify the expense on the state or local funded accounts. To identify expenditures that are not allowed on a fund type or certain range of accounts, see the Summary of Accounts, or for a more detailed list of every expenditure code and the ranges of accounts that allow for that expenditure code, see the Object Code Reference Guide.

There is also a key word search available for object codes; however, this search will not provide information on if the object code or expenditure is allowable for that fund or account range. It is a good search to identify what to code an expenditure and then look to the Object Code Reference Guide or Summary of Accounts to determine if it is allowable on that fund type or account range.
